Bottling Plant production line part
We were approached by EcoPackTechnologies to design and print a bottle line production facility part from an rough print done previously in PLA which was failing and causing issues with the wrapping process.
The design was redrawn as no CAD was available with additional bracing and rounded edges added which were key to stop snagging of wrapping film. The part was printed in durable PETG - which is what most plastic bottles are made from - and is much more suitable to end application
Replica LED housing for Channel 4 - Trojan Lighting
Channel 4 had contracted Trojan Lighting (specialists in energy efficient, intelligent lighting solutions) to replace the multicolour lights illuminating the Number 4 structure outside their head office in London. Original lights were not energy efficient, failing and needing replacement. However, the original housing for the lights needed to be retained and were no longer available.

Trojan got in contact and we replicated the housing in CAD and utilised the speed of the large format printer for the lower casing (180 x 180 x 180 mm ) printed in 2hrs! and the precision offered by smaller machines for the upper mating lip to the weather seal in the metallic fronts (which also took 2 hrs) . These parts were made from recycled PETG, optimised for printing to reduce need for waste support material and solvent welded further increasing green credentials!
